BRINGING HOME THE GOLD

Early in the 2016 Summer Olympic games, the USA team garnered several gold, silver and bronze medals—more than any of the other teams. Several players competing in various sporting categories trained vigorously to champion many of the events. But the USA is not the only one bringing home the “gold”! In this spotlight, we pause to celebrate Sierra a, who at 13 years old, has captured her first trophy in the junior 18s.
Sierra competed in a tough draw at the 90th National Public Parks Junior Championships. After a hard-fought victorious win, this is what she had to say: “I believe my new surroundings and the work that myself and my coach are putting in has really shaped my game in a positive way. The tournament was a level 5 tournament, but the test was to see if my mental has become stronger no matter what level I am playing in, and I’m excited to say that it has.”
Her coach, Joseph Lizardo, has transformed her game tremendously. He is sharply improving Sierra’s on-the-court game and her mental awareness. Like those teams participating in the Summer Olympic games, Sierra has worked hard—and her hard work has paid off. 40 Love is excited to be a part of Sierra’s journey and we are anxious to see what else is yet to come.
…Sierra, this is only the beginning!!
